Superior Recreational Products (SRP) with Southern Recreation created a custom designed playground to replace an aging wooden pirate theme playground for Palencia Park in St. Augustine, FL.
The original Pirate Park was installed 12-15 years ago when the Palencia community started to develop. It had become a local icon within the community, so it was adamant that the style and essence of the park remain.

Southern Recreation was incorporated in 1985 and I introduced our original web site in 1998. I thought at the time that we had a pretty comprehensive web site and we probably did. Sadly however as the years flew by I failed to keep this web site current with all of our new products and services. No more! We are proud to introduce to our customers our vastly improved web presence...

In 1985 when we were kicking around the idea of starting our own park and playground business, we had a talented friend design our original Southern Recreation logo. We were extremely pleased with the product and thousands of our customers over the many years have seen this on everything we produce and own-from all of our paper goods to our trucks, office and warehouse facilities to our company shirts. But as with all things, we felt this look had become dated. Time for a change...
